UrbanMount is pioneering a new category in home services, focusing exclusively on renters. By addressing the unique needs of urban professionals who want to personalize their spaces without the hassle of unreliable service providers, UrbanMount ensures a seamless experience with insured technicians, upfront pricing, and an easy booking process. In order to define its go to market strategy, Urban Mount partnered with Roveir to optimize its acquisition funnel and lay the foundation for scalable growth. We helped determine the market, layout a strategy for early user acquisition, ad testing, and launching a data-driven paid media strategy tailored to renters.

Our Process

Step 1

Discovery

Renters often face challenges when trying to personalize their spaces due to unreliable service providers, hidden fees, and the lack of renter-specific solutions. While general home service platforms cater to homeowners with large-scale projects, UrbanMount is designed specifically for renters, offering insured, fixed-price, and easy-to-book services for apartment-friendly upgrades. By focusing on a market traditionally underserved by existing solutions, UrbanMount meets the growing demand for hassle-free, on-demand home personalization tailored to urban living.

The initial launch is based in Washington D.C., due to the high rental density and the target audience of young professions and students who frequently move and seek a streamlined way to set up their space. The strategy prioritizes urban areas with high-rise apartments and a concentration of renters who value both convenience and aesthetics.

Step 2

Market Research

Our team conducted an extensive research to understand the audience in order to offer a seamless installation for renters. Some key insights that helped shape our strategy were:

  • Renters want insured professionals and transparent pricing before making a reservation.
  • Renters prefer a seamless process through mobile & web, to have immediate booking options.
  • Basic needs are easy to meet, where TV mounting, shelving and furniture assembly are the most valued services in the area.

Step 3

Pre-Launch Strategy

To drive early adoption and optimize acquisition efforts, Roveir developed a customer acquisition strategy focused on high-intent renters searching for home services.

  • Optimize landing pages to drive sign-ups.
  • Introduce an exclusive 10% off first-service offer to incentivize bookings.
  • Leverage strategy to target urban professionals preparing to move.

Step 4

Customer Acquisition Channel

To drive customer growth, we ran a targeted acquisition campaign across Meta and Google, testing different services to identify what resonated most with renters in the Washington DC area.

  • Google Ads and Meta: focus on capturing high-intent users searching for home services and engaging urban renters on social platforms.
  • Optimized paid acquisition: scaled ad creatives to emphasize key benefits for renters.
  • Re-marketing strategy: retargeting campaigns to re-engage high intent users and convert sign-ups to valued customers.

Step 5

Contractor Acquisition Channel

Driving Growth in the B2B Industry

As customer demand surged, UrbanMount needed to expand its contractor network to maintain service availability. Roveir developed a B2B growth strategy focused on attracting and onboarding independent service providers through targeted marketing campaigns.

Taking this into account, two growth initiatives were strategized:

  1. Ads strategy for independent contractors to expand the service provider network.
  2. Leveraged Apple Search Ads for high quality contractor leads searching for job opportunities in home services.

Step 6

What’s next?

With our acquisition strategy in motion, we are focused on scaling paid media, optimizing conversion funnels, and increasing customer retention to maximize growth.

Now in the launch phase, we are continuously testing and refining ad performance, improving targeting strategies, and analyzing real-time data to drive efficiency and long-term adoption.

Our initial strategy is centered on scaling UrbanMount in Washington, D.C., driving both customer adoption and contractor growth. As we establish a strong foundation, the next phase will focus on expanding into new U.S. cities, ensuring sustainable growth by balancing customer demand with a robust contractor network.

Stay tuned for next phase!
